It is known that coronavirus infection (COVID 19), has become a pandemic and is creating worldwide stress to the wider community and health care professionals. Even the developed nations couldn’t handle the infection and are experiencing a multimodal catastrophe. Developing countries like Ethiopia, are way behind in economic and health expenditure preparedness to tackle this disease.
The Ethiopian Society of Emergency and critical care medical professionals feel that it is its national responsibility to provide COVID clinical care response-related training for health care professionals working in various hospitals. Since emergency and critical medicine professionals are expected to manage emergency conditions and help with disaster response, it will be its members’ pleasure and responsibility to help in this condition.
It is also known during such disaster situation the existing health care situation will be affected and other patients will suffer. Our society recommends continuing the current treatment and training of new professionals and residents to respond to the Covid pandemic.
